Button Thru was born in a two bedroom trailer, the youngest of 12.  As the home was so full, with 14 people living in it, she had to learn at an early age to make herself heard, and seen…she also had to learn to be tough enough to deal with her siblings' beatings, as mom and dad were too tired to yell at the kids, or intervene every time two of them started fighting.  Button embraced her roughness; always running around the trailer park with skinned up knees, and bruises everywhere, never backing down when a bully was approaching.  She ended up so rowdy that anytime she went anywhere people would always say “there’s that girl that just goes buttin thru everywhere she goes.”  From that day forward she was known as Button Thru…
