Young Stevie Nicks & Licks felt confused by the direction fate had steered her through life. Running fast and far from her strict religious upbringing, she allowed her gypsy ambitions to guide her with the wind. Traveling down a long, sizzling road on the outskirts of Phoenix, Stevie came to the realization that transportation would be necessary to achieve her dreams. She began reciting an incantation with her beloved, white-winged dove, incense, and a glass of wine - when something went wrong. Or did it? With a quick fumbling of her words (a common mistake for the multi-tasking raven), she realized her life would be forever changed. This vocabulary stumble had transformed her feet into black roller skates! She looked back towards the road as a shiny bus filled with curious musicians pulled over. They took her in, promising a ride to the next city. The band, however, grew hopelessly attached to her. They couldn’t bear the thought of Stevie leaving. So a decision was made: Fleetwood Mac invited Stevie to be a part of their act! Lindsay Buckingham moonlighted as a welder. He crafted a caged sphere for her to skate madly around in while floating above the stage; scantily-clad in leather and lace. Even though Stevie was eternally grateful to Fleetwood Mac, she still kept wondering inside if this was truly where she belonged. But by a random stroke of luck, veteran derby diva Vanna Rockin’ was in attendance at a reunion show in Dallas. She quickly recognized that Stevie would be an asset to Assassination City. Convincing Stevie to leave Fleetwood Mac would not be easy, but Vanna prevailed, and won Stevie over to the rowdy, unruly world of flat track roller derby.
